The SuperNOVA Robotics team is a competition based extracurricular activity. We are an All-County Team for any high school student attending Prince William County Schools in Virginia. Students will work to design, build and program a robot in 8 weeks then compete in tournaments against other high school teams in the DMV area. Robotics is a sport for the mind; it blends applied physics, mathematics, programming, prototyping and design, integrated problem solving, teamwork, and leadership. Students who are successful in robotics must work well under pressure and work well with others.
Students may apply to SuperNOVA at the beginning of the season. Due to limited space and resources, we may not be able to accommodate every student who wish to participate in FIRST Robotics.
This application is the first step in the process of becoming a member of the team, students, please take the time to answer every question. We do not require any prior robotics knowledge but a willingness to learn and work hard, this application helps us get to know you and what you are interested in.
