Today marked the start of SuperNOVA’s very first after-school meeting of off season! The meeting featured bringing in more new people interested in joining SuperNOVA.
We started the meeting with a tour of the workshop that introduced new members to the equipment they will be using this season like the CNC router, Miter saw, drill press, and other tools we have in the workshop!
After the tour, co-captains Sophia and Karma gave a presentation about what it’s like to be in FRC. They explained how competitions work. They also introduced all the different subteams and how each team’s role is important to getting us ready for competition. Afterwards, they spent time answering questions about their presentation.
Everyone then split into groups based on what subteams they were interested in, letting them get introduced to the roles of the teams they were interested in. It was a really awesome meeting and a great way to start the new school year!
